What is a Sigil
A sigil is a unique symbol, picture or words combined in a unique pattern or shape, that represents a particular intention or desire. The symbol is often visualized in the mind with the feeling and intent of the desire. A sigil is personalized to you and your intentions and desires. You can also use a charged sigil from another person who practices the craft.
How Does a Sigil Work
A sigil is often "charged" with meditation, exercise, sex, intense focus, or some form of emotional release. Intense energy and focus on the symbol and desired outcome is what makes a sigil magical. Meditating on the sigil plants the image of the symbol in your mind. An emotional release or peak is followed by the intense focus on the symbol. Joy, lust, anger, and pleasure are all emotional releases that can be used to charge sigils.
Charging Methods
Sigils use intense energy to activate and charge. The feelings of intense happiness, anger, joy, pleasure or even rage creates an energy that gives the sigil energy. A quick and easy way to create energy around a sigil is exercise. While focusing intently on the sigil, do some form of exercise that will really get the heart pumping and racing. Doing jumping jacks while visualizing sigil is a great way to get the energy flowing. SEX is a GREAT way of charging a sigil. Sex provides us with intense pleasure and the release is the icing on the cake. It works with solo sex or with a partner. As you are reaching your climax focus intently on the sigil and desired outcome. As you release, release the sigil from your mind and sit with your pleasure having gratitude that your desire is on its way. Other ways of charging a sigil is to think of something that gives you intense rage, joy or happiness and focus on that energy until you feel it radiating within you.
Creating a Sigil
Create your intent with the words "I am", "I have", present tense words. Write your intent down, cross out vowels and repeating letters. Use remaining letters to create a unique symbol. You can also use known symbols for example the money sign to create a money symbol or a heart to represent love. Form the remaining letters into a symbol. You should be able to recognize the letters in the symbol. You can use various shapes, numbers, planetary symbols and astrological symbols in your sigil as well. Combine the different symbols and shapes with the letters.
Releasing the Sigil
After symbol is created and activated you can release it by burning it, burying it or ripping it up. For long term results place the symbol in a prominent spot for constant activation without destroying it. After releasing the sigil with your preferred method release any conscious attachment to it. Don't think of the sigil from here on out, allowing your subconscious to do the manifesting. Its important to release any conscious attachment to the sigil. Don't constantly think about the sigil. Completely release it from your mind.
